In today’s episode we discuss why children need to understand consent and the importance of them having autonomy over their bodies. In today’s world unfortunately, the fears about sexual assault and rape are front of mind for many parents. As our children begin to grow curious in others and build relationships with those around them, parents begin to stress that their child may become a victim or on the other side of the table, a perpetrator. This is why teaching our children about consent and respect at a young age is so crucial.

Today’s guest is the founder and managing director of Safe4Kids, a company which focuses on child abuse prevention education. She is passionate for teaching kids about body safety while empowering them with knowledge to ultimately keep them safe. Today she joins us to chat about how we can teach our children about consent and shares her advice for approaching our children on this topic.
