As humans, we are constantly learning; even if we are not actively in school or another type of education. Our brains are naturally hungrier for knowledge. This goes for our children as well; especially children under 5, who soak up information like sponges. As much as school helps with learning, home learning is just as important.
Today’s guest is Goodstart Early Learning’s National Research Manager Dr Kate Liley. Having worked in the Early Childhood Sector for many years. She understands and believes that it’s our job as parents and educators to make sure children have the opportunity to talk, read and play, as we are their first teachers for life. Home learning is a strong component in a child’s development, and that is what she is here to talk about today.
